As a volunteer receptionist you will answer business-line phone calls, greet visitors, thank donors and do light clerical tasks. Currently our business line is often transferred to our Helpline; that means a survivor talking to a HelpLine advocate may be interrupted by a call asking for directions to SHC. Your assistance will let advocates focus on survivors.
Receptionists are asked to make a regular weekly commitment (three to four hours) during business hours. Our next training will be offered:
Wednesday, February 10 (1:00-4:00) at SafeHouse Center
This is a great way for community members to become involved with our work without having to complete the 40 hour crisis intervention training. |
