| The Sexual Assault Program provides counseling and advocacy, legal advocacy, and support groups at no charge for survivors of sexual assault. The program also provides community education presentations. |
| |
| Individual, short-term counseling is available to any survivor of sexual assault over the age of 12, regardless of the age at which the assault occurred. Counseling provides survivors with a supportive environment for exploring their thoughts and feelings about their experience of sexual assault. Individual counseling is also available to friends, family members, and partners of survivors so that they can have a safe place to process and gain positive ways to support the survivor. |
| |
| Legal advocates provide resources to help survivors understand the legal process and advocate for their rights. They are available to accompany survivors to court hearings. |
| |
| Thirty to ninety minute presentations are offered to all Washtenaw County schools, K-12th grade, with a wide range of topics, such as Good Touch/Bad Touch, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence, Internet Safety, and Body Image. |
